Down with Denim
From the designer runways to women’s fashion magazine spreads, the style forecast for fall calls for a heaping helping of denim in every fit, shade and silhouette. To help women wear the season’s top denimwear ideas correctly, the experts at Dish Jeans Ltd., makers of the contemporary label Dish, offer their take on looking stylishly updated in fashion’s hottest fabric.
Denim on Denim – Once a fashion don’t, mixing denim with denim is the season’s new do. The way to pull it off seamlessly without overdoing it is all a matter of degrees. Remember to combine light shades with dark ones to avoid a monochromatic look. To this end, Dish offers layering pieces, including shirts, vests and skinny jeans, in varying shades of denim that fall together harmoniously so women stay on the right side of this hot trend
Pretty in Plaid – The preppy appeal of a plaid shirt is a perfect companion to the sea of blue denim in hot trend colors such as purple and teal. Dish’s version, worn with a denim pencil skirt in a sophisticated dark wash, is flirty with a softly ruffled collar for a decidedly feminine interpretation of this classic menswear pattern.
Flares with Flair – The skinny jean trend has worn thin and a more relaxed silhouette freshens the look of denim in a trio of flared-leg styles from Dish: a low-rise trouser, Dish’s popular Deseray style for curvy bodies, and a classic flare with a fanny-flattering fit that recalls disco-era jeans.
Zipper Accents – The best way to stand apart from the crowd is to wear a great-fitting jean with an eye-catching design detail and zippers are the hands-down favorite for fall. Dish’s legging has figure-enhancing benefits with ergonomic side seams that skim and slim the outer edge of the thigh, curving around the knee and slant toward the front of the leg, ending in a long zipper opening that gives the legging extra pizzazz.
The Chambray Shirtdress – What better silhouette to wear in the comfort of lightweight chambray than the shirtdress? This easy, casual style gets a feminine shape from Dish with strategically placed front seams that open into pockets at the waist. In a mini length, it’s the perfect complement to shapely legs dressed in stylish tights, another must-have fall accessory.

Raise your Glass of Bubbly
So the dress is bought, the shoes picked out. You know what hairstyle you’ll be wearing and your nail (and eyebrow waxing) appointment was scheduled six months ago. Everything is set, except of course, all that is not. The zipper on your dress suddenly gets stuck halfway up and aliens have decided to use your forehead as a landing pad for their experimental pimple outbreak. With only three days before the New Year, this is definitely one of those code red emergencies. But stressing over the minor details, you’ll just aggravate the situation as opposed to fixing it. Read on for some speedy weight loss tips, ways to clear your skin and the formula for a great New Year’s Eve. How to Look Great on
New Year's Eve Tip #1 Water: Drink It
Try to eliminate soda and any carbonated drinks before the big day. Let the water cleanse your system and fill you up. Because dehydration is often mistaken for hunger, drinking more water will also protect you from binging.
How to Look Great on New Year's Eve Tip #2 Gas: Avoid It
avoid foods that will make you bloated, including (but is not limited to): beans, peas, broccoli, cucumbers, pickles, onions, apples, bananas, wheat products, eggs, carbonated drinks and cream. In addition, avoid swallowing air. Yes, air. Avoid drinking from straws (easy with water) and bottles with narrow openings.
How to Look Great on New Year's Eve Tip # 3 Spanx: Wear It
If you hate water, love beans and don’t care enough to stress over excess pounds and bloating (but still want to look good), you're in luck because of one revolutionary product: SPANX!
How to Look Great on New Year's Eve Tip # 4 Skin: Treat It
Pimples suck. But they suck even more after you pop them and create scars on your face. The best way to treat a pimple is to leave it alone and apply acne medication.
How to Look Great on New Year's Eve Tip # 5 Tan: Fake It
Instead of basking in those artificial UV rays, opt for tinted moisturizer. Not only will this save your skin from looking like a leather purse, but you’ll also have control over how tan (or not tan) you want to look.
Cheers!

Tights for A Statement
Fall's new legwear has taken the conservative looks of seasons past and splashed them with stripes, dots, checks, and color blocks for gaze-at-me gams.
"Patterned and textured legwear was all over the runways this year," says Maggie Adams, trend expert and spokesperson for Spanx. "I think women love it because it's a fun, easy and affordable way to update existing outfits in your closet."
Here are some tips from hosiery pros on how to wear the patterned tight trend. It's time to show your spots...And stripes...And lace...And plaids...And ....
Bob and Weave: "Open weave styles in vertical patterns elongate the leg and are popular this fall," says Spanx's Adams. "Also, classic and vintage-inspired patterns like houndstooth, diamond, Swiss dot and back seams have been top picks for Spanx fans. They are chic, sexy and still totally appropriate for the office."
Easy Update: ""Patterned hosiery adds a little something extra to your overall look," says Adam Sakara of La Fée Verte. "It's the easiest way to update your wardrobe for the season and make a statement without having to redo your closet for fall."
Added Edge: "Patterned tights add instant edge to a LBD and are perfect for extra coverage in a mini," Adams says. "As far as footwear goes, patterned tights with peep-toe booties are perfect for ladies who want to be on top of the latest trends. But, a classic platform pump is always a safe bet."
Make a Statement: "For the fashion-forward, opt for legwear that makes a statement and mix and match it with other patterns, colors and textures," Adams says. "For example, pair a diamond-patterned tight with a floral print dress or a Swiss dot sheer with a tartan pencil skirt."
Shine On: "Be confident in your choice (of tights) and use them as your statement piece," says Donna Karan's Cathy Volker. "Metallics and lace are a great wardrobe addition. Adding a few pairs this season will help update your holiday wardrobe without breaking the bank on party dresses."
Don't be afraid to be bold and fashion forward!

Winter White
Who says you can't wear white after Labor Day? This lusciously stark color is actually just right for frigid temperatures, since it's so evocative of snow and Winter solitude. To wear Winter white, just be sure to choose textures—like leather, wool, and bouclé—that are undoubtedly wintery, rather than something like eyelet or linen that looks better suited to springtime. Also, don't be afraid to pair your whites with darker, high-contrast duds.
1. Dress for the season. If you're going to wear a white dress in winter, pair it with opaque black tights and shoes, or a dark cardigan on top, or even leggings underneath. No tank tops or sundresses allowed.
2. Mind your texture. A rich fabric makes all the difference when you're wearing winter white. Cashmere, wool, tweed, cable knit, angora, even denim and corduroy all have a depth of texture that make them total Dos for winter white. They're cozy enough that you'll look pulled together, while light summer fabrics like cotton, linen, or chiffon make you look terribly out of place in chilly January.
3. Go one shade off. Pure white (we're talking lily, wedding dress, wite-out white) is best left to a time when you've got tan legs. Choose a color that's slightly off-white, in the cream, ivory, or ecru family for maximum winter white effect. Still feeling self-conscious in such a light color? Give it some weight with a chocolate brown boot or a dark leather accessory, so people know you're aware of what season it is.

More to Life than the LBD
The LBD (Little Black Dress) had always been a wardrobe staple for us ladies. Though an essential piece to have in your collection...there are so many other options out there! While gearing up for your Holiday events, cocktail parties, and offices parties...keep in mind some of your other fun choices!
Sequins are something that I personally can't get enough of this season! Once considered only for the brave, it is now everywhere! Step out in a sequined on shoulder top and pair with black pants or even winter white pants! If one shoulder isn't personally for you, try a gold or silver sequined tank under your favorite cardigan!
For those dames daring enough...opt for the colored sequined dress! Show off your confident side (and be the center of attention) by pairing with a great pair of black pumps, your most preferred color of lipstick and a smile!
As mentioned earlier, one shoulder is all the rage! The great thing about the one shoulder look, is that you can decide on your favorite color, then pair with solid black tights to tone down your colorful ensemble. I own the blue "sex and the city" one shoulder frock sold at Dress and have been more than pleased with my purchase! Its flowyness and color are perfect for any outing! For an extra "pop", pair with a long necklace. Not every girl loves a dress.
The trouser jean or wide legged pant is currently a celebrity favorite. Pair with a sexy tighter fitting top, or the Rachel Zoe inspired shirt and fur vest! No flats allowed with this pant. The shape of the pant requires heels. (Especially those of us under 5' 5")
For this year's Holiday festivities, leave that LBD in your closet and show off your fashion sense! Dress has all of your favorites and the jewelry and accessories to match! Come see us today and play a little dress up!

Do's and Don'ts of Holiday Glam
Your party season style rotation wouldn't be complete without a few words from Mr. Michael Kors, would it? Below is his advice on Holiday Essentials!
Embrace the little red and as an LBD alternative. DO experiment with different shades of red like orangey hues. There's one that works for every skin tone. DON'T pair a red dress with red shoes, a red bag, or other red accessorites. All that together? It simiply says "Santa's helper!"
Try burnished metallics. DO try off shades like deeper gunmetal gray or subtle bronze. The shiniest golds and silvers are only for the seriously brave. DON'T be afraid to mix in neutral accessories and non-metallic pieces too. That's chic!
Wear sequins the new casual way. DO try pieces like long sleeve tees, tanks, and shorts, which feel glamorous and relaxed. DON'T forget to balance the look with matte fabrics so you don't blind people.
Bust out those super short hemlines. DO counterbalance the bare legs with a covered on to look. DON'T bare everywhere...you get the point.
Slip into ankle booties as a new take on evening shoes. DO choose a stiletto-heeled style. It gives a tougher edge to romantic holiday dresses and is a nice departure from your usual pumps or party sandals. DON'T layer on colored tights with these. One statement accessory is enough.
Ok ladies....now go get your party on!

Tis the Season to be Sparkly
One of the best things about the holiday season is that it’s also the holiday party season. But each cocktail party comes with a dilemma: what to wear? The answer is simple, my friends! If you’re going to a cocktail party, then the simple answer is a cocktail dress! I’m partial to the classic Little Black Dress (LBD).
They're simple, easy and indisputably chic, and they'll take you through the holiday season and beyond.
Wear the LBD with a blazer and a pair of sleek booties and head to the office in style.
After-work cocktails? No problem. Park that blazer and layer on a few oversized baubles.
It's no wonder that eight decades after fashion icon Coco Chanel turned the once-funereal garment into a fashion statement, the LBD endures.
In fact, fashion-savvy Cristell Basmaji, spokeswoman for Jacob, says this fall she spotted the LBD more than ever on runways.
"It's just one of those really easy pieces that you can find in any style," she says. "There's a little black dress for everybody."
The fact that it is so versatile makes good financial sense too, Basmaji says, "given the economic situation, and that people are really looking for those investment pieces."
"Make sure the dress is not too busy," Basmaji says, of the criteria for finding the right LBD. "It has to be of a solid fabric. It's got to be a relatively simple cut."
Don't get swept away by a flashy print or detail, she says.
"Keeping it simple and classic keeps it to what it was when it was first created in the 1920s," Basmaji says, adding there are plenty of inexpensive options to choose from.
"You don't have to necessarily break the bank to buy the little black dress."

One Shoulder Wonderful
My latest fashion passion has been the one shoulder look. The one shoulder draped look can bring sophistication and modern glamor to any outfit. You can achieve your look in so many ways! One shoulder dresses can either be printed or can have polka dots over it. It all depends on you which design you want to choose. As already mentioned there is no need of usage of accessories along with this dress. The asymmetrical dress is highly in demand these days because it is considered as a fashion item and we find numerous women wearing this dress may they be a celebrity or a common woman. Whenever we go out for shopping we always look for clothing that is fashionable and at the same time affordable.
Pair a one shoulder dress with tights and heels for a night out. For a more casual approach, do a slinky one shoulder and a pair of dark wash jeans. I think that the one shoulder dress is the perfect answer which is a very good combination of fashion, style and money. Spending on an asymmetrical dress will make you realize that the money you spent was worth it because you can wear this dress for any kind of party may it be formal or casual. To compliment the dress you can have a pair of matching stilettos and danglers who will make you look tall and slim.
It’s true that the type of clothing you wear reflects a lot about your personality and wearing a classy and beautiful dress like the asymmetrical dress will definitely add to your personality and give you stunning looks. With the dress becoming so common designers are trying to manufacture something new so that we witness a change. Therefore the asymmetrical dress will make you look really wonderful and you will always feel flattered when you wear this dress.

Embellishment is Essential
The hottest accents are sparkling their way down runways and red carpets this season! Embellished clothing is the Fall 2010 must have! Sequins, studs, feathers and crystals are all permitted!
There are many ways to achieve the embellished look. Sequins are a glitzy way to glam up any outfit. Whether it's an entire dress of them or just a gold sequined tank to add a little flare to your ensemble. For best results, stick to wearing one embellishment at a time. Make sure the embellishment is used on or near a body part that you would like to accentuate or call attention to, since it's where the eye will be drawn. For maximum impact, wear one embellishment at a time.
If sequins aren't your thing...opt for anything studded. Originally thought of as more of a "punk" look, is now trendy and an amazing way to add pizazz to your outfit! Look for tops with a studded neckline or a set of earrings or a cuff with subtle smaller studs.
Feathers are a tricky embellishment. These are usually saved for special occasions and are thought to be more dressy. You have to be cautious! Don't over-do this trend! Feathers tracing the bottom of a skirt or dress can be cute. A dress made of feathers can make you look like something that has just fallen out of the sky.
Go out all this Fall and add some glitz and glam! Stop into dress to see our many items that can embellish anyone's figure!

Go Passionately Pink
How many of us know someone who has had or survived breast cancer? Breast Cancer knows no boundaries and is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancers today. October is breast cancer awareness month. Here are a few facts you might not have known.
• Breast cancer is the leading cancer among American women and second only to lung cancer in cancer deaths. • More than two million women currently living in the U.S. have been diagnosed and treated for breast cancer.
• All women are at risk for breast cancer. The two most important risk factors for breast cancer are being female and getting older. The risk of getting breast cancer increases as you age. Most breast cancers and breast cancer deaths occur in women aged 50 and older. Until more is known about preventing breast cancer, early detection and effective treatment offer the best defense against breast cancer mortality.
• Although rare, younger women can also get breast cancer. Just five percent of all breast cancers occur in women under age 40.
• About 85 percent of all women diagnosed with breast cancer DO NOT have a family history.

Tailgate Ready
Alright Ladies...it's that time of year again. College football season! I applaud all those die hard fans, but some of us enjoy the cocktails and outfits more than the actual game. Let's be honest, figuring out what to wear and which tailgate to attend is an event in itself. Make sure you are tailgate ready this fall with all the appropriate attire!
It is possible to be both comfortable and stylish! Don't look ridiculous in heels walking down the bleachers, opt for a wedge or flat riding boot. These will look adorable over dark skinny jeans, jeggings, or leggings. For extra chilly days, wear a high sock that should stop about an inch above the top of your boot.
An off-the shoulder sweater can be pure perfection with your skinnys or leggings. Look sassy, but stay warm and sophisticated. Of course make sure you are in the appropriate color depending on which team you are pulling for. If you are having trouble finding a garment in your team's hue, considering pairing a scarf. This is an easy way to incorporate your team's color.
If skinnys aren't for you, a sweater dress with boots or tights and flats can be paired for a comfortable, but chic look. Again, if you are having trouble with finding the color, don't be afraid of a large necklace or oversized earrings that can bring in the color of your players!
Let the game begin!

FALL FASHION CLASSICS
For those of you who just adore Fall, it's time to start thinking about your new beginning for the season. I have compiled a list of some classic Fall items you will want to incorporate into your wardrobe for Autumn. 1. A great tailored jacket -- fitted to show off feminine curves, not a baggy masculine style -- will pair with everything from work trousers to jeans.
2. Sounds basic, but a crisp, long-sleeve white shirt is a building block of your fall wardrobe.
The varieties are endless -- cotton with stretch, fitted silhouettes, cuff and sleeve details, collar variations -- but they all work under everything from cardigans to jackets or on their own with wide-leg trousers.
3. The Turtleneck Sweater ...Neckline trends come and go -- cowl necks, plunging Vs, henleys -- but a turtleneck sweater has earned its place as a classic.
4. The Neutral Coat...There's a reason timeless fashion pieces retain their popularity: they go with most things in your closet and transcend the trends. The neutral coat -- especially in a camel color -- is an enduring fall classic because it has so many possibilities.
5. Knee-high boots make great sense for fall because they let you get more wear out of everything from skinny jeans to miniskirts.
Tuck in slim trousers for a young look or layer on opaque tights with a skirt or dress to keep out the chill.
6. Feminine pearls are the perfect trend-proof accessory to compliment the more structured styles of fall. Wear gray pearls with black for a sexy tonal look; or choose layers of creamy white pearls worn with a simple black sheath dress for a perfect cocktail dress look.
7. The BIG Bag
Bags get bigger with cooler weather because you have more to carry (umbrellas, wraps, hats).
The leather bag doesn't have to be boring -- there are logoed styles, patent, exotic skins, quilting, bold hardware, bright colors and much more -- but the most classic looks have a ladylike feel to them and understated luxury.

Guide to Denim
Buying jeans can be so tricky! With all the brands, washes, styles, cuts, and sizes...it can become mind boggling when trying to decide what is best for your body type. That is why I have put together a simple, yet informative guide to buying the right pair of jeans for YOU!
Flat Bums
Tips:
- Try a tapered leg or skinny jean to make your bum more noticeable. Siwy is a hot denim line too
- Even a small kitten heel will add curves to your profile, a tall heel will work wonders.
- Flap pockets will add dimension, try True Religion, Stitches or Frankie B's flap pocket styles.
Booty Beauty
Tips:
- Look for a stretch denim with a fitted waist.
- Stick to darker washes that have an all-over slimming effect.
- Many denim manufacturers make a specific style to flatter a shapely butt with a narrower waist. Find out which cut is right for you in the brand you desire.
- Consider brands such as Joe's, Rich and Skinny, or Genetic Denim
Petite & Chic
Tips:
- Skinny jeans are perfect, just stick to linear cuts like straight leg and cigarette leg. Stay away from pencil or peg legs which tapers at the bottom. Give the Joe's Provocateur Jean a try.
- If you are short and want to minimize curves, choose a straight, wide-leg trouser cut. Jeans that fit like a tailored pair of trousers will give you an over-all sleek and polished look. Finish with an amazing pair of heels.
- Need hemming? Ask your tailor for an "original hem" and your unique hem will stay intact.
- Other brands for the petite frame include Seven for All Mankind, Hudson, or Paige Premium Denim
Short Waists
Tips:
- Choose a jean with a low waist to lengthen the torso (7.5" rise or less).
- Jeans with long pockets or pockets placed lower (example Taverniti So) balance proportions
- Avoid high waisted jeans that will make the torso look shorter.
- AG Jeans or Taverniti So could work for you
Pretty Pear
Tips:
- Look for a dark, clean wash. Too much fading and distressing will widen your shape.
- A straight leg or slight bootcut will keep legs looking lean. Stay away from a tapered or pencil leg. A sleek trouser cut jean will work wonders!
- Skinny jeans can work, just choose cigarette and straight-leg cuts.
- Wear a heel to add height and lengthen legs. Also balance out the thigh with a substantial shoe like a fierce boot.

Most Wonderful Time of the Year...NY Fashion Week
When you have a passion for fashion, there are two months out of the year that you look forward with unparalleled anticipation....September and February. It's New York Fashion week in all it's glory! Last year, it was promised to move to a larger, newer venue as opposed to the old Bryant Park. This September will mark the first Fashion Week held at Damrosch Park in The Lincoln Center.
This is a monumental time for style as the latest and hottest designers display their collections for the upcoming seasons. But, did you know that New York Fashion Week has been an event since 1943, when it was meant to be a distraction from French Fashion during World War II when designers were unable to trevel to France? In 1994, Fashion week was held in Bryant Park until now!
This week in fashion is such an inspiring time for those of us who eat, breathe, walk and talk fashion! Just reading the articles in the NY Times Fashion Style section is enough to put butterflies in your stomach. Dream big, take tips from the pro's and update your wardrobe resume for the upcoming seasons!

Wrap Up In The Name of Fashion
The fall/winter seasons are coming and it is time for fashion scarves. As a beautiful accessory, scarves provide both warm-keeping and fashion functions. That is why women love scarves so much.
In the current market, there are not only traditional long shape scarves, but also thicker super long style and also elegant shawl style scarves. Each scarf has its own style and fashion feature. The most important part is that scarves add more lively and amusing to your winter fashion. You have no more scare for the boring winter days any more with the fashion scarves.
The long size scarves are always a favorite for European. They are happy to wear a warm scarf around their necks layer upon layer. Besides warmth, it can also bring you a childish interest. This kind of scarf looks beautiful if go with a sweater. However, fur coats or sweaters with complex patterns are not good choices for those scarves. If that, you look cumbersomely dressed. The elegant shawl style scarves exhibit women femininity and elegance. Those scarves can be easily transformed with many patterns. You can either simply wear around your neck or just casually cross in the front. Both ways make you unique. Also, a unique pin could add more charming for you. Among the clothing you could pick, skirt dresses are absolutely perfect choices.
The slender long scarves are one of the most traditional style and also the easiest matching model. You can just randomly wrap around your neck and see how great you can be. From the matched dress, both light and deep colors work fabulously. There are tons of ways to wear slender long scarves. For example, a necktie knot is a great choice for scarf tying. It is the same as necktie tying. If you don’t know how to do that, ask your husband or your male friends.

Key Pieces You'll Love All Season
1. The Floral Dress. No longer relegated to spring or summer, a wispy floral dress now segues beautifully into autumn. Wear a thing layer under it and a cozy knight over it for a cool look. Be sure to match the sweater to a color in the batter.
2. Olive Cargos. Celebs such as Victoria Beckham are ready for active duty. They are comfy and easy to wear as denim, working equally well day or night. Dress them up with a black blazer and platforms for a stellar evening look.
3. Fur Vest. The new it item looks upscale but is totally accessible. Faux fur is almsot as woarm and light at the real thing, and it makes everything in your outfit a little more luxe. Layer and throw on with jeans.
4. Animal Print Cardigan. Prints can be worn as well with solids. Be sure to choose a bold print that doesn't clash but instead adds contrast.
5. Full Skirt. Don't fear a flared skirt, the season's freshest silhoutette. Pair it with a body-skimming silk blouse to offset the fullness and lend a relaxed air to the equation. Tie on a belt to define your waist.
Mix and match key pieces for the upcoming fall season!

Cozy Chic
Though we hate to say goodbye to Summer, it gives us the opportunity to look forward to less frizzy hair, no more bathing suits, and not having to worry if your make up is sweating off! With crisp air and darker hues rapidly approaching, we are forced to look into Fall Trends. One that I have particularly fallen in love with is the idea of cozy, but still chic! This is one of my favorites because it proves that you can be both comfortable and stylish all at the same time. How do you put such an ensemble together?
Leggings, leggings, leggings! Though the classic black legging has been trendy in the past, branch out and show your colors! Don't hesitate to stand out with a fierce blue or fuchsia legging under a solid tunic or slinky top. If you tend to stick to the darker tone, try "jeggings." These are leggings that are made to look like jeans. You get the fitted look of jeans without having to worry about squeezing in! You can accompany your jeggings with an adorned top. Think of jewels, floral accents, or add a pin for a bold look. Whether you chose a flirty shade or lean to a more classic side, you can accompany the leggings look with a great pair of boots! Flat for day and a heel or wedge for evening. Another way to wear this trend is with a pair of flats!
September will be here before you know it!

Shine in Summer's Brightest Hue
Bright hues are never boring, but they can be intimidating to those who've never tried them. It's summer, time to brighten up, be fierce, and stand out. Don't shy away from yellow! The solution? "Consider your skin tone and hair color," say stylist James Aguiar. Brunettes with olive skin look good in almost any shade, but platinum blondes should opt for midtones that won't compete. The same holds true for fair-skinned girls; Any extreme will wash them out.
Here are more tips for wearing them right.
Timing counts. The sun makes colors look much stronger, so for day, you want to choose paler, matte shades. For evening, you can experiment.
Lighter perspective. Afraid black accents will look too harsh? It's hard to go wrong with white or tan. They'll keep the look soft and subtle.
Sweet and Simple. Stay away from spandex and shine. Because yellow is so bright, the combination will accentuate every flaw.

Wear your White While you Can
Summer might be winding down, but you still have one more month to dazzle in those summer whites! So wear them while you can! Though color trends change with the seasons, white is a timeless color in fashion and should be an essential to your summer wardrobe. The possibilities of pairing, matching, accessorizing with white really are endless!
White is definitely hot due to the fact that its simplicity exudes an elegance which is difficult to top. Due to its neutral look, white can be worn for any occasion, by everyone and combined with a variety of other colors as white pretty much works with everything. Due to it's look, white is usually considered a color of peace, purity and innocence, so this color really suits women who want to underline their femininity.
A few must haves include, the little white dress. Not quite the LBD, but catching up in popularity. I consider the LWD the new LBD for summer and spring months! I little white dress can make you feel gorgeous and confident.
The white jumpsuit...don't roll your eyes. This is a very trendy statement piece that many have had trouble embracing. Jumpsuits have made a huge comeback due to their stylish look and comfortable feel. White pants and a white top IS chic! Show off your flirty summer spirit and match them. This look can be casual or office friendly. Try a pair of white pants or shorts and a white top with a hint of color or sparkle to it.

Sail Away with Nautical Fashion
Even if you're land-locked, nothing says summer like a maritime theme! All the hot designers have given their nod to the nautical ...and why not? Bold patterns, classic shapes and colors, and whimsical details make up the look which has sailed happily into ready-to-wear. Nautical patterns and ocean-inspired clothing and accessories promise to be a hot trend for summer; get inspired and add a nautical twist to your wardrobe with a striped tee. Button detailing, a scoop neckline and a relaxed fit ensures you will be comfortable and stylish all season long. Pair with a flirty skirt, a chain necklace and a cozy pair of flats for a look that proves you know how to pull it together. Add a bit of nautical flair to your wardrobe with a sterling silver anchor necklace. A stylish necklace goes with anything, but for the most impact pair with a relaxed tee, white shorts and gladiator sandals. Perfect! A chic, sassy handbag will add a touch of nautical flair to any outfit! Roomy enough to hold all of your essentials (and then some!) look for a bag that features antique-inspired button detailing, metallic handles, a large exterior pocket and a striped bow for extra style. A shoulder strap for even more convenience! An all-over sailboat print, contrasting stripes at the bodice and a racer back style, a dress works well for a sunny Spring day or a coverup for the beach! Keep the rest of your look simple to avoid contrasting with the dress; white sandals, a small handbag and a tiny pair of silver earrings is all you need to make your dress pop.
Nautical inspired pieces are promising to be a hot commodity once again, so take inspiration from the items featured here and you’ll have smooth sailing throughout the coming months!

How to Look HOT After a Break Up
Recovering from a breakup involves more than chocolate ice cream and trashing your ex's things. A changed-up and improved beauty routine will take you from doom and gloom to va-va-va-voom in no time. And even if moving on and dating someone new is not on your radar just yet, looking amazing from head to toe should be (it's the best revenge!). So what do you do when you're ready to get over the breakup? Give yourself a breakup makeover — a breakover! Here's how.
CONFIDENCE! Though there are many ways to boost your confidence, what you wear can make a big difference. Wear something that you feel great in! It can be different for everyone. A pair of great heels can turn heads your way as well as assist in giving yourself a towering appearance. Breaking up isn't the equivalent to a funeral...stay away from the black! Trading your dull duds for bright colors shows you are outgoing and makes you approachable. Don't hesitate to try new things, incorporate something into your ensemble that stands out. This can be a pin on flower, a great piece of fashion jewelry, or some red hot lipstick! I promise it won't hurt your chances of finding the next Mr. Right by showing a little more skin! Don't take this one overboard, but work your assets! Wear those great skinnies that show off some tush, a little push up bra never hurt anyone, or go for the trendy mini skirt! Put a smile on your face! He's going to hate what he's missing out on! You are going to love the way you feel! Good luck ladies! YOU deserve it!www.dressraleigh.com

Why play it safe with black when you can put yourself out there with COLOR? Color is a great way to look fierce and exude confidence. Have your way with the world! Color is everywhere and should be considered as a design element when creating the perfect ensemble. Here's a little color 101 for those of you just beginning experimentation with color...
Red
One of the most visible and lively of all colors. It portrays excitement, energy, enthusiasm, and confidence. It is a natural color and one of the basics. Dare to wear red!
Yellow
Though not for everyone, this color creates attention and joy. The wearer tends to bring a sense of cheeriness to the group. Yellow can be best paired with a dark or lucid color.
Blue
This one is a popular color, liked by most. It is emotionally opposite to red and yellow and can bring a calm and relaxed feeling. It can be for those who go for a more sporty look. Blue is often a color to bring the biggest sense of inspiration.
Pink
Not just for little girls! It is soothing a pleasant to the eye. It is said to always be attractive to guys and can add a feminine touch to your outfit.

A Slight Shoe Obsession
A few ideas from one shoe addict to another...
Wedges
Wedges are back, and they're going to go perfectly with this season's headscarves and turbans! Go for a neutral colored medium height shoe without a platform sole. Peep holes are also a popular look for wedges and add a feminine feel.
Oxfords...the Next Generation
Oxfords have been around for a few seasons now, but now there are new spins on the casual, smart street shoe. There are Oxford Ballerina flats, which are basically ballet flats with Oxford style laces. Fabric Oxfords are another casual flat option. It's the season's take on the sneaker.
Flats Have Never Been Sexier
Lolita-inspired flats are the perfect medicine of sweetness for sexy spring pieces like tap pants and boy shorts. These vintage-style skimmers add a bit of innocence to an otherwise femme fetale look. Think about what Shirley Temple wore with her little shorts and skirts, and aim for that.
Season of the Clog These wooden shoes have inspired the looks of designers Chanel and Louis Vuitton. The look? A backless clog with a wooden platform and a chunky wood heel. Alexander Wang also made a black, chunky-heeled, backless clog, which at the very least seems more wearable with edgy punk trends like leather, chains and side-slitted leggings.

Summer Style Faux Pas
Summer Style Faux Pas
How to avoid eight common summer fashion mistakes.
Not so hot: White deodorant stripes on your black sundress
A sizzling solution: Nip the problem in the bud and alleviate white marks by using a deodorant like Degree that goes on clear and is little–black–dress–approved. What’s more, Degree® is specially formulated to respond to the unique needs of a woman’s body, providing an effective level of protection when you need it most. (Note: To remove deodorant and perspiration stains from machine–washable clothes, soak them in white vinegar and then wash them at the highest temperature allowed.)
Not so hot: Smelly, smelly shoes
A sizzling solution: Keep your feet happy and healthy by wearing well–ventilated sandals or light cotton socks to absorb moisture. Never wear the same shoes two days in a row. On your loafers’ day off, freshen their scent by sliding a dryer sheet into each shoe.
Not so hot: Sheer white pants
A sizzling solution: Keep these classic summer trousers looking elegant by wearing undergarments that match your skin tone and provide adequate coverage. A thong is all wrong in this style scenario; it’s not as invisible as you think. Go for control–top, boy–cut panties and enjoy a chic, sleek look in everything from your clam diggers to a short skirt.
Not so hot: Who invited bra straps to the BBQ?
A sizzling solution: For starters, make sure you’re wearing the right bra. Changes in your diet and weight — even a few pounds — can alter your size. Get a free bra fitting at a specialty or department store to ensure you’re truly a 34B. Once you’ve found your perfect match, adjust the straps so they’re snug. Need ultimate insurance that they won’t slide out from under your sleeveless top? Try plastic bra clips, such as Strap Tamers, which attach your bra straps to the inside of your shirt.
Not so hot: Bare, bulging midriffs
A sizzling solution: Whether it’s toned or chubby, a belly peeping out is cute only on a toddler, so skip the midriff–baring tops if you’re over five. And remember, Mom was right: Standing up straight not only makes you look more confident, it also flattens your belly. For extra help, turn to the gorgeous shapewear that’s designed to create flat abs in a flash.
Not so hot: A cut–too–low sundress
A sizzling solution: Summer is tricky. What’s fine at the beach can be inappropriate at the sandwich shop. Invest in a gauzy, light–colored cotton or linen wrap to top that beautiful boho dress when you venture off the sand. Seeking a more tailored look? Turn a men’s cotton button-up shirt into a cover–up.
Not so hot: Streaky self–tanner
A sizzling solution: Sure, self–tanner is the safest way to become a golden goddess, but you’re a mere mortal when it comes to applying it — you’ve got the streaks to prove it. Next time, carefully prepare your skin by exfoliating — especially dry patches like elbows and knees — and applying a moisturizer with AHA for a few days before you self–tan. Start “tanning” from your feet up, using sweeping strokes for best results. If you make a mistake, erase it by rubbing the streak with half a lemon.
Better yet, get a streak–free golden glow with Dove® Energy Glow Beauty Body Lotion. It leaves your skin soft and smooth while gradually evening out and enhancing your skin color, and is available for fair–to–medium and medium–to–dark skin tones.
Not so hot: Feet that aren’t sandal–ready
A sizzling solution: Sandal season is here, but do not fear. Follow these steps to be sweet to your feet. Indulge your tootsies with short soaks in warm water and Epsom salts. Smooth rough spots in the shower with a pumice stone or salt–based scrub, then follow up with a rich moisturizer. Cut toenails straight across, then finish off with a polish in a shimmering shade.

Rules for Summer Work attire
I know how happy many of you were to push those tights to the back of your drawer once the warmer weather was upon us. Free of wool, heavy overcoats, and unflattering snow boots! Summer attire in the workplace can be tricky. When the temperature rises, inhibitions plummet. Avoid the distractions and embarrassment that occur when employees wear attire that is too revealing or sends the message that their comfort is more important than their clients' business.
Follow the leader. Gage what middle management is wearing, and plan accordingly.
Be polished. Make sure your clothes are clean and pressed. Since lightweight fabrics tend to be sheer, check your reflection under bright lighting to make sure your undergarments don't show through. If your company allows open-toe or backless shoes, make sure your feet and toenails are clean and cared for.
Don’t Flash the Flesh. Women in all professions should know they're not advancing their careers when they wear revealing clothing. Short shorts, mini-skirts, tank tops and low-cut or sheer blouses may get you attention, but not necessarily the raise or promotion you want. When choosing what to wear, think Diane Sawyer or Condoleezza Rice, not Britney Spears or Paris Hilton.
Layer Light Fabrics. Stay cool in lightweight materials such as silk, cotton, linen, or summer-weight wool and cotton blends. Remember to dress in layers -- the difference in temperature between the outdoors and your air-conditioned office can be 30 degrees or more.
